Vivek Ramaswamy faces backlash after Fox News’ Sean Hannity shares GOP candidate’s plan to ‘fire 75% govt workforce’

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: On Wednesday, September 13, GOP candidate Vivek Ramaswamy gave a speech to the America First Policy Institute and revealed his plan to reduce “75% of the federal government.”

Following this news, Fox News anchor Sean Hannity took to X, formerly known as Twitter, on Saturday, September 16 to share this with his followers.

Hannity’s official website has also provided additional details on the matter as he posted Ramaswamy’s video about his new plan.

However, the internet didn’t respond positively to the presidential candidate’s plan and called him out online.

Sean Hannity reports on Vivek Ramaswamy’s ‘plan’

On X, Fox News anchor Sean Hannity wrote, “Vivek Ramaswamy plans to cut the federal civil workforce, which comprises 2.2 million people, by 75 percent after four years…”

In his tweet, he also posted an article from its official website titled, “CUT, CUT, CUT! Vivek Wants Less Government, Plans to Fire 75% in Four Years [WATCH]”.

The article about Vivek Ramaswamy itself was placed under the “2024 Heating Up” category on Hannity’s website.

In the article, Ramaswamy spoke to the America First Policy Institute and shared his thoughts on his plan to drastically “reduce the number of the federal government.”

Ramaswamy said, “If someone works for you & you can’t fire them, they don’t work for you. You work for them. I refuse to be a puppet in the White House who plays that game: if I can’t work for the federal government as President for more than 8 years, neither will any of the federal bureaucrats who work for me.”

He further added, “And on Day 1, January 20, 2025, it is the job and duty of the next President of the United States under West Virginia versus EPA to immediately rescind the effectiveness of a majority of those federal regulations.”

Internet calls Vivek Ramaswamy a ‘pathological liar’

After Hannity’s tweet about Vivek Ramaswamy’s plan to debunk the federal government, the internet brutally called him out on social media as one wrote, “The only thing he’s gonna cut next year is that funny azz hairdo.”

Another said, “Ramaswamy is not going to cut anything given that he has a snowball’s chance in a barn fire of being elected president.”

One more added, “Thank God Vivek will NEVER be on the ballot ☠️,” and another commented, “There’s always at least one candidate who makes promises like this. Since he knows he won’t be the nominee it makes it easier.”

A fan simply wrote, “He just lost 2.2 million votes 🤷‍♂️.

Another called him out adding, “They all promise that, until they get elected and do the exact opposite. And Vivek is a pathological liar and flip-flopper.”
