Modi Mother dead, Heeraben Modi, Dies Days After Hospitalisation – cause of death

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother, Heeraben, died in the early hours of Friday. she is 99 years old
“Smt Hiraba Modi died on December 30, 2022 at 3:39 am while receiving treatment at the United Nations Mehta Heart Hospital,” the hospital said in a statement, where she had been admitted since Wednesday.

Heeraben lives with PM Modi’s younger brother, Pankaj Modi, in Raysan village near Gandhinagar. The Prime Minister visits Raysan regularly and spends time with his mother during his visit to Gujarat.

“A glorious century has been at the feet of God… In Maa I have always felt the Trinity, which includes the journey of the ascetic, the symbol of selfless Karmayogi and a life committed to values,” the Prime Minister wrote in heartfelt condolences her death. Prime Minister Modi, who was due to visit West Bengal to start a series of projects, has departed for Ahmedabad. He could attend the events via video conference, the sources said.

In June, Prime Minister Modi wrote a blog to celebrate her 99th birthday. In the blog, the Prime Minister wrote about the aspects of his mother’s life that “shaped his spirit, character and self-confidence”.

“This year will be her 100th birthday. If my dad was still alive, he would have celebrated his 100th last week. 2022 is a special year because my mom’s 100th birthday and my dad could have done it His birthday.’ he wrote in the blog post.

The prime minister said on his blog that his mother had an extremely difficult childhood compared to his, adding that she lost her mother at an early age and that it has always hurt her.

“Mother has been cleaning dishes in some houses to help cover family expenses. She also spends time spinning charkha to supplement our meager income,” the Prime Minister wrote of the family’s difficult early days.

“Whenever I visited her in Gandhinagar, she would hand me sweets. Like a doting mother, she took out a napkin and wiped my face after I finished eating. She was always in her gauze. Lili put a napkin or a small towel,” the prime minister wrote, highlighting his mother’s focus on cleanliness, adding that “she took great care to make the bed clean and tidy.”
