UW women’s volleyball and athletics are looking for answers after private photos and videos of players were shared online.
A statement released by the athletic department did not include details about the photo and video, but the Milwaukee Sentinel obtained a photo from a person who said it was one of the photos. It appears to have been shot after the team won the Big Ten championship last November. The picture shows some of the team members pulling up their sports bras for a group photo.

According to Wisconsin, the images and videos should not have been released.
“UWPD is not investigating any misconduct by volleyball student-athletes in this matter,” the statement said. “Our priority is to support our student-athletes, and we are providing them with appropriate services and resources.”
According to Wisconsin, members of the team contacted university police after learning the images were in circulation. A statement from the sports department said police were investigating a number of crimes, including sharing sensitive photos without consent.
