The author of ‘Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors’ book told Page Six, “He is psychologically harmed both by his mother’s death and the father’s treatment of his mother, and of Harry himself, when he was a child.”
For a number of years, the challenges that Prince Harry and his royal family have faced have been front and center in the media. The press extensively covered his mother Princess Diana’s difficult marriage, which was caused by King Charles III’s long-term romance with the woman who went on to become his wife, Queen Consort Camilla. The untimely passing of Diana, Princess of Wales, in August 1997, when Harry was only 12 years old, was another event that received extensive media coverage. In fact in 2021, on Dax Shepard’s ‘Armchair Expert’ podcast, the Duke of Sussex discussed the traumatic events of his boyhood, blaming his father for perpetuating a “cycle” of “genetic pain and suffering.”
